PED (0852) 499 - Capstone Design and Methods


Credits: 3.00

Students will be able to apply the basic concepts and methods involved in investigating issues in physical activity and health. This involves planning, conducting, and analyzing data for their senior capstone project.

Course Learning Goals: Students will 

1. Acquire the capability to find scholarly journal articles and books 

2. Acquire the capability to read scholarly research articles and books

3. Understand ethics behind working with human subjects in studies

4. Write a proposal for their capstone project

5. Demonstrate skills to create and execute interviews and focus group interviews

6. Create and administer a survey

7. Use descriptive statistics to analyze survey data
