SMP (0855) 208 - Technology in Sport Management

Students will participate in hands-on training that prepares them to use the technology sport management professionals work with in the field, including the Microsoft suite of products, photo editing, video editing, survey building, newsletter creation, website development and emerging tools.

Course Learning Goals: After successful completion of this course, students will:

1. Be able perform various sport-business related computer tasks and digital processes, such as database managment, photo editing, video editing, e-newsletter creation, website development

2. Be able to determine the appropriate technological programs required to complete complex work related assignments and solve problems

3. Be able to write a technology-based request for proposal when seeking outside vendor support, such as website development

4. Be able to prepare a creative brief and wireframes for a new/relaunched website

5. Be able to create their own website using WordPress
