SLS (0873) 799 - Continuous Matriculation

Credits: 0.00

Doctoral students should sign up for continuous matriculation when they have completed their required credits for the doctoral program but continue to be active in the program by working on research activities (first or second exam; dissertation).  Students in this situation must register every semester to maintain active student status. Continuous matriculation provides a mechanism whereby students in later stages of the doctoral program can maintain active student status when they are no longer taking coursework but are completing other degree requirements (exams, dissertation). Students are often in this situation for multiple semesters.  Advisor approval is not required since the doctoral program coordinator maintains contact with all students to ensure that they are moving forward in the program.
