BIO (0105) 181 - Medical Terminology

Students will develop a strong background in medical terminology including word roots, how words are used, and pronunciation. Students will focus on anatomical structure and function as well as diagnosis and treatment.

Prerequisite 1: BIO 203 BIO 204
Students will:

● correctly label major anatomical structures.

● use medical vocabulary to suggest diagnostic testing and treatment.

● interpret results from major medical tests.

● recognize and use appropriate medical abbreviations.

● use medical terminology appropriately in both oral and written communication.
