Students will be introduced to the foundational principles of psychotherapy/counseling. Topics that will be covered include: the therapeutic alliance, issues of transference/counter-transference, assessment, case formulation, and basic therapeutic techniques/strategies. The emphasis will be on understanding the intersection between mental health and speech-language pathology.
